Meet The Committee

I’d enjoyed skinny dipping from an early age and was delighted when 33 years ago Cyndi joined in. Since then we’ve been members of Heritage and various swims at Tewkesbury, Erdington , St David’s and Pershore .We take naturist holidays at Tything Barn, Acorns ,Norway and Iceland and basically anywhere we can get away with walking and swimming nude. 

Fred has been a naturist since the age of 0 and is married to Megan who is also an avid naturist. Our daughter Alice, now mother of Lottie, learnt to swim at Sunnyacres and is still a naturist. 

Over the past months I have taken over the Treasurer role on the Committee with Mike working closely with me in his role as Bookkeeper. The Bookkeeper role is a large task, and it is too much to expect Mike to also give up time to attend the Committee meetings. Being a Chartered Certified Accountant I have a good understanding of finances and I would like to be elected to the Committee as Treasurer with Mike continuing as Bookkeeper (which he is happy to do). This will help the Club in ensuring projects are done and priorities funded.
The past 2 years have been very challenging, but the Committee has managed to complete more projects in this short time than I can remember in my 25 years with the Club.

I am a trustee of the club as well.

My first naturist experience was skinny dipping – no swimsuit, just me and the water. There is something liberating about freeing your bits from the confines of a costume and experiencing the simple joy of being immersed in water with nothing in between you and it. So, on any visit to HSC you are more than likely to find me in the pool. As the official minute-taker of our committee meetings, I try to capture all the important discussions and decisions and keep everyone in the loop by sending reminders about upcoming events and meetings, making sure we're all on the same page.

I’ve been a naturist for about 35 years, I’ve been on television twice with Glen, the first time was back in 2000 when we appeared in Naked Jungle with Keith Chegwin, which was a naked game show which we won.

The second time it was a gardening piece called Mayhem at The Manor which was aired on Discovery Canada. We had 3 children which we brought up as naturists; we have belonged to various naturist clubs over the years.

Comfortable in the buff for as long as he can remember, Richard’s venture into social nudity was nevertheless a step into the unknown…  What better place than Sunnyacres to get started?  Before joining four years ago, he couldn’t swim either but now takes an active part on the committee and helps with maintaining the pool.  Nor can he sing, but after a drink or three, that doesn’t stop him competing with Graham at club socials for the role of ‘karaoke King’…

Maria has been a long standing member of the club and is heavily involved in the up keep of the club. Her Chalet at the bottom of the club is like a little bit of Switzerland in Headley Down. She likes to keep the flora and fauna looking good. She has worked as a Hotel Manager for 35 years and is a trained Patchwork teacher and can speak 4 languages! She has been a naturist for the past 50 years, and a member of our club for 28 years, joining in 1992.

Graham has been a member of Haslemere Sun Club since 1999.  During this time, I have spent most of this in one shape or form, on the committee.  Now taking a break and just concentrating on the email communications of the club and updating the website and letting everyone know what's going on.  Not officially on the committee any more.
