  1. Uncover pool (if necessary) and check water appearance eg Clear, Cloudy or green. If not "Clear" water, contact Pool Manager immediately (See above) and put up notice "Pool Closed for Sanitation" on the handrail at the deep end, door to Pump House and in the Pavilion.

2. Take water sample from the deep end of the pool, and before any other tap water is added to the pool, for 'Chemical Testing' later. (See 10 below) Actioned : Y/N

4. Retrieve skimmer basket from each of the three Skimmer ports, empty the skimmer socks into the waste bin and rinse. If damaged or worn replace with new ones. Actioned Y/N:

  1. With the pump off, undo the strainer filter lid and retrieve and empty out any debris from the basket into the waste bin. Wash out the basket, retaining any residual Gel blocks that may be in the basket for future use. Replace the basket and close up the strainer filter ready for use.

  1. Ensure pool walls are clear of algae. If not, use the pool broom to sweep the walls. Having connected the hoover to the power socket, take hoover to the shallow end steps and immerse unit, Turn on the power and set, using the hand controller, a cleaning pattern which is to include cleaning the lower part of the pool walls. When the hoovers cleaning procedure has finished, using the controller, steer the hoover to the steps and raise the hoover. On surfacing, lift hoover out onto pool side: NOTE: Hoover will be heavy with water. Once out on the side of pool turn off power. Remove the bag from the hoover, wash it clean of detritus and replace. Put the hoover back in the pump house.

  1. On completion of vacuuming the pool with the hoover, clean out strainer filter basket, and once a month add 2 Gel blocks in basket and seal up filter. Start pump.

  1. Measure the chemical properties of the collected pool water sample (see 2 above) using the Scuba II electronic meter for:

pH      (range: 7.2 to 7.6)

Chlorine Free (range: 1 to 2.5)

Chlorine Total (range: 1 to 4)

Cyanuric Acid (range: 30 to 50)

To adjust pool water pH level to within specified range, add cups of pH Reducer (Minus) or pH Increaser (Plus) as required.

If Chlorine levels appear to be out of the accepted range, please contact the pool manager.
